SAI has partnered with several other small firms to ensure that we can provide the full gamut of security services, starting with Information Security Audits with a Lead auditor and other team members who can certify whether installed software at the client location is in accordance with ISO 27001, BSS 7799 and Security best practices.
Towards this end we have also ensured that several of our consultants are CISSP certified specialists. Additionally, we also perform other testing such as Vulnerability assessments and Penetration tests. The results of all these tests are then provided to the customer to either bring their software and processes into compliance themselves or SAI can provide experts who will implement the changes.
SAI realizes that sometimes doing an Information Security Audit or identifying non-compliance with the ISO 27000 standards are a “defensive” or reactive measure and clients desire to be more proactive and avoid security breaches that may be possible.
Towards this end we also provide other capabilities that are often considered the more “offensive” testing such as Penetration tests and Vulnerability assessments. SAI consultants with certifications (such as the Certified Ethical Hacker) with the client’s authority try to penetrate the system just like a real hacker would. This can help to identify weaknesses that can be fixed so that some attacks may be nullified before they can happen.
Vulnerability assessments are a similar exercise which allow the client to see their systems as assessed by external consultants, which may expose otherwise “blind spots”.
SAI resources performed a major audit on the Information Security resources of the major retailer, including processes, key applications and resources. Upon completion a final report was provided to the client which outlined their compliance with the ISO27001 standard in terms of more than 130+ key criteria.
